Who we are

This website is run by Solman Davis Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company number 06398943). We are the “data controller” for any personal information you give us through this website. If you have any questions about this policy, email info@solmandavis.co.uk or call 01271 379379.

What we collect

When you use our contact form, email or call us, we collect the details you choose to give us. This usually means your name, email address, phone number, town or postcode and a description of the work you need.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
• To arrange and carry out work you ask us to do, and to issue certificates and invoices.
• To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping records for tax, building regulations and NAPIT / TrustMark scheme requirements.

We rely on your request for a quote or our contract with you (and, for records, our legal obligations) as the lawful basis for using your information. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to: with our website and email providers who store it for us, our accountant, and, where required, the scheme bodies we are registered with (NAPIT and TrustMark) or building control. All of them must keep it secure.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Customer and job records, including certificates, are kept for at least 6 years to meet legal and warranty requirements.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website uses:

• Necessary cookies that make the site work and remember your cookie choices. These don’t need your consent.
• Analytics cookies that tell us how visitors use the site, only if you accept them in our cookie banner.

You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link or button on the page, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which does not set cookies but does receive your device’s IP address so it can deliver the font files.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@solmandavis.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
